House of X

House of X (pronounced “House of Ten”) is a X-Men comic book series about mutants written by Jonathan Hickman, along with the illustrators Pepe Larraz and R.B. Silva and the cover artist Mark Brooks. It was published by Marvel Comics in 2019.

There’s another Marvel X-Men comic book series about mutants, called Powers of X, also written by Jonathan Hickman, that builds on the storyline of House of X. This is why it’s best to read both sort of at the same time, as displayed in the reading order below.

These two comic book series allowed the launch of Dawn of X.

Jonathan Hickman

Jonathan Hickman has long contributed to the universe of Marvel Comics. Until 2015, he wrote stories to the Avengers and New Avengers. And for a while, Jonathan Hickman stopped writing for Marvel Comics.

In March 2019, Marvel Comics announced Jonathan Hickman’s return, specifying he would write both House of X and Powers of X to lead the X-Men mutants into a new era.

True to his mission, writer Jonathan Hickman reinvented characters, created entirely new characters (including new mutants), and gave existing characters and mutants a new purpose. This, combined with great science fiction, will make you love to read the House of X and Powers of X comic books written by Jonathan Hickman and published by Marvel Comics.
